Summary
We just made some changes to our Privacy Statement and Terms of Service. These changes are designed to explain the ways that we've updated the Mote experience, so that minors (anyone under the age of 18) can safely and securely use our service. We're not calling this 'mission accomplished' on all things GDPR, data compliance and privacy, but it's definitely a big step forward.
More details
We are asking all new and current users to indicate whether they are above or below the age of 18. Since different countries define the age of data consent differently, we are using 18 as our 'age of consent' for all territories.
Users under the age of 18 are welcome to use mote, however they'll have a different experience to other users. The table below summarizes these differences.

If I accidentally set myself as under 18 but actually I am much older than 18, how can I change it? Thank you for the help.
Every time you log in, we'll ask whether you're under or over 18. So the easiest thing to do is to click Logout in the mote menu (from your web browser bar) and then click the correct button when you sign in again.
